Leucojum, known as the Snowflake, in form closely resembles a large and taller Snowdrop 18 inch - 50cm. Like Snowdrop, they bloom in late winter and early spring. But Leucojum will thrive in milder climates where Snowdrop will not grow.It is one of the only bulbs that will thrive in heavy, moist soils in sun or shade. The 45-50cm dainty flower spikes open with the early narcissus and naturalize beautifully with them. Snowflakes need no attention or lifting and make a reliable show in containers, cottage gardens, borders, banks, rock gardens and when naturalised in farm paddocks.
