A.N.Z. Travel and QANTAS Australia
sponsored a tour of the best gardens in Japan. Dale was instrumental in planning this tour as he had just finished working in Japan. Tour Host - DALE HARVEY Dale Harvey is an International Gardening Consultant and has travelled extensively in this capacity. He is also amongst the world's leading authorities on Japanese Gardens. Dale was in Japan for over a year on a grant from the United States / Japan Friendship Commission which is affiliated with the United Nations office in Washington D.C. He studied landscape gardening and botanical arts with Japanese Masters and was also the horticultural consultant for the Australian Embassy. Dale's goal is to integrate the best qualities of gardening styles worldwide in order to develop a more interesting garden. However flowers are always the centre of his creative work as he strongly believes in "flower power". Here the "Quarter Acre" Paradise gardens are being used as a backdrop for an advertising campaign followed by an article about the gardens and Dale. |
